ANTTILA, LORIS originally from Ontonagon, Michigan passed away July 7, 2022 in Waterford, Michigan surrounded by her family.  Loris went downstate to be near her family five years ago and will be returning to her home to join her husband Douglas Anttila at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mass. Loris is survived by her daughter Cathy Brown and son Nick Anttila.  She is predeceased by her daughter Heidi Weatherly.  Loris has four grandchildren, Angie Long (husband Matt), JD Weatherly, Nicholas Anttila, and Lisa Moody (husband Kevin). She also has three great grandchildren, Mason Long, Taylor Long, and Corbin Moody.

Loris never lost her love for her beloved Ontonagon and spoke of home often while living downstate.  Her kind and loving spirit touched everyone she met. She will always be known for her favorite saying, "It is what it is".

Services will be Monday, July 18, 2022 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon. Family will receive friends Monday 10 AM until time of service. A luncheon will be served after the service and afterwards will be taken to Maple Grove Cemetery at 1:30 PM to join her husband Douglas along with many other family members gone before her.

Please no flowers. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be sent to "Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly" based out of Houghton, Michigan as she donated much of her time there helping to assist those in need in the community.
