Lori Robin
Burt
Sep 6, 1957 — Jul 7, 2026
BURT, LORI R. (née Drake), of Waterford, passed away on July 7, 2026, at 68 years of age.
Lori was the loving wife of Matthew Burt for 46 wonderful years and his soulmate for 50 years. She was the devoted mother of Joshua (Angel) Burt and was preceded in death by her beloved children, Lana Robin Burt and Brandon J. Burt. She was the cherished grandmother of Jenna, Brylee, Joey, Joshua Jr., and Julie; great grandmother of Aizen and Astelle. Lori was the dear sister of Kelly Chiappelli, Kim Drake, and Mike Linseman, and was preceded in death by her sister, Holly Snider. She was also preceded in death by her loving parents, Herbert and Barbara (née Hicks) Drake Jr.
Born in Pontiac, Lori embraced life with energy, enthusiasm, and a joyful spirit that inspired everyone around her. She loved staying active and could often be found jogging, swimming for hours, camping in northern Michigan, or taking long walks. Being outdoors brought her peace and happiness, and she enjoyed every opportunity to experience nature.
Lori had a wonderful sense of humor and a vibrant personality that made her a joy to be around. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a remarkable ability to brighten the day of everyone she met.
Selfless by nature, Lori was always looking for ways to help others. Whether it was lending a hand with daily chores, offering encouragement, or simply being there when someone needed her, she gave of herself without hesitation. Her kindness, generosity, and compassionate heart earned her the admiration and love of family, friends, and neighbors alike.
To those who knew her best, Lori truly was an angel on earth. She lived with grace, loved without limits, and touched countless lives through simple acts of kindness and unwavering devotion to her family.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the lasting legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will continue to live on in their hearts forever.
