FREDERICK, LOIS MAE of Waterford, formerly of Sterling Heights, passed away on January 2, 2022 at 91 years of age. Lois was born on September 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to parents John L. and Myrtle Holt (nee Jones); beloved wife of the late James Frederick for 61 wonderful years; cherished mother of Richard (Denise) Frederick Sr., Rose (the late Forrest Thomas) Leaman, Robert (Mary) Frederick, Cheryl (Kermett) Spurlock, and William Frederick; proud grandmother of Richard (Stephanie) Frederick Jr., Crystal (Carl) Arft, Melissa (Larry) White, Christopher (Nicole) Bennett, Laura (James) Felarca, Janice (Joseph) Dale, and Mary (Matt) Russell; great grandmother of 16 and great great grandmother of 3; preceded in death by her two sisters and their spouses Margaret (John) Fortching and Edith (Don) Ludeman. In 1948, Lois graduated from Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. She met the love of her life James through his cousin in Jackson, Michigan and together they raised a beautiful family. She was a homemaker; always reading books, especially mystery novels by her favorite writers James Patterson and Stephen King. Her family came first, she was always very supportive. Her and her sisters were very crafty, making quilts and dolls. Even into her 90's she was fun to be around. Lois will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. A funeral service will take place Thursday January 6, 2022 at 6 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME- CLARKSTON (8909 Dixie Hwy.). Family will receive friends from 3 PM until the service starts.
