Linda Sue Palace, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, dedicated educator, and cherished friend, passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, Linda found her greatest happiness in the people she loved, the knowledge she could share, and the memories created together along the way.

Born on April 4, 1936, Linda was the daughter of the late George Roy and Minnette Mary Irwin. She was raised alongside her sister, the late Barbara Shell, and her brother, George Edward Irwin. From an early age, Linda developed the strong sense of family, curiosity, and appreciation for learning that would remain important to her throughout her life.

Linda later married the love of her life, the late William Palace. More than husband and wife, Linda and William were true companions who built a life together founded on friendship, strong family values, love, and plenty of laughter. Together, they raised four children: the late Garnet M. (Kirt) Bowden, William W. (Maria) Palace Jr., Steven M. (Gail) Palace, Barbara L. (James) Halterman.

Linda was also the proud grandmother of Jeff, Katie, William III, Abigail, Jonathan, Kelsey, and Michael; and the loving great-grandmother of Matthew, Christopher, Jacob, Emily Ann, Henry, and Logan.

Education was both an achievement and a calling for Linda. Proud to have earned her Master's degree in Education, she devoted 22 years to teaching at Clarkston Middle School.

Linda possessed a natural love for life and for the people around her. An avid reader, she also loved to travel, listen to music, and watch movies.

Linda's family will receive friends at Coats Funeral Home – Clarkston on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10 a.m. with a funeral service honoring Linda's life immediately following, beginning at 11 a.m., also at Coats Funeral Home – Clarkston.
