of Waterford, passed away on October 3, 2016 at the age of 89. Leonard is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his children, Kathleen Joyce Phipps, Victoria (Charles) Johnston, Laura (Troy) Purcell, and Leonard Allan (Denise) Phipps II; his grandchildren, Allan and Elijah Purcell, and Emily and Joshua Phipps; his siblings, Bradley Phipps and Beverly Wiedefeld; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan E. and Pearl Phipps; his siblings, Mildred Whiting, Ersel Getsinger-Boileau, and Laureta Hawkins. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the World War II.
