Griffin Funeral Home in 1954 on Plymouth Rd. at Southfield, then moved to Middlebelt Rd. at Ann Arbor Trail in 1972. In 1997 he opened another funeral home on Ford Rd. just west of Lilley Rd. Very loving companion and best friend of Jean Schwentor. Survived by his four children, Susan Kenneweg of Sparks, NV, Lawrence J. Sr., Mary Beth Barrie of Redding, CA and David G. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and members of the Schwentor family. In 1975 Larry was appointed by Governor Millikin to the State Board of Mortuary Science. He was a member of the Livonia Elks, Knights of Columbus, Michigan Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association.
