Lawrence "Larry" Golden, 65, of Pontiac, Michigan, died on June 15, 2024, surrounded by family. Larry was born on February 23, 1959 the son of the late Floyd and Patricia Golden. He was the beloved husband of 7 years to Susan "Susie" Golden. Cherished father of Allison (Thomas) Sulecki and proud grandfather to Harvey and Adrienne. Survived by his brother Jeffery (Donna) Golden. Also survived by Susie's children, Erica Kinney and Timara Kinney, and grandchildren Thomas and Elijah.

Larry spent over 40 years working in the title industry, including owning his side business Quality Title Services. He was fond of vacations to warm places with palm trees, mostly traveling to the Gulf Coast, however Disney was a great runner up. Ultimately he obtained his dream of owning a condo in Fort Myers, Florida, where his time was spent with Susie on the beach and downtown. Larry enjoyed trash talking the neighbors and condo HOA; as well as telling ill-advised jokes, a trait he passed down. As a dad, he was the biggest supporter and sometimes begrudged chauffeur of Allison. Severe weather alerts and serial killers were sources of significant interest to him. He rocked Hawaiian shirts and Jerry Garcia Christmas ties; though thankfully not at the same time. Win or lose, he was a dedicated, lifelong Detroit Lions fan. Last season brought him considerable happiness. Larry further enjoyed many great evenings throwing horseshoes with his brother Jeff and cousin John.

And just as there is no substitution for Diet Pepsi (in his humble opinion), there is no substitute for the person Larry was. He will be missed beyond measure by his wife, daughter, and extended family.

The family will accept guests on Friday, June 21st, 2024, from 11-1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME - WATERFORD, with a Funeral Service at 1 PM.
