Obituary

FLYNN, LAWRENCE CHARLES, of Davisburg, Michigan passed away February 10, 2020 at 68 years of age. Born on February 13, 1951 in Merrimac, Massachusetts, son of the late Charles and Dorris Flynn; beloved husband of Catherine Flynn nee Finch for 7 years; loving father of John Flynn, Amanda (Bobby Misialek) Flynn and Courtney (Mike) Foster; proud grandfather of Jenna; dear brother of the late Bill Flynn and survived by brothers John (Linda) Flynn and Edward (Kathy) Flynn; cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lawrence graduated from Andover High School in 1969. He went on to proudly service his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam as a PT Boat Retriever; stationed out of Pearl Harbor Naval Base. After his service, he received an Associate's Degree from Oakland Community College. Afterwards, he worked and retired out of General Motors in the parts division as a fork lift driver. More importantly, in 1973 while working at GM, he met the love of his life Catherine. Lawrence was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, kayaking and traveling around in his RV Bus with his family. He adored his children and when his grandchild Jenna was born that was considered one of the proudest moments of his life. Anyone who knew Lawrence would agree that he had a witty and humorous personality. He loved hanging out with his son John and taking his daughter to the father-daughter dances. He had a passion for animals, especially his pet dogs. Lawrence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
