Obituary

Lonni'; beloved sister, aunt, godmother and friend passed away on 8/13/18 at age 75 after a long, bravely fought illness. Lonni was a resident of Waterford, but raised in Lansing, the oldest of three girls. She graduated from J.W. Sexton High School, afterward earning both a bachelorrsquo;s and masterrsquo;s degree in nursing from MSU and Wayne State. Lonni worked in psychiatric nursing her entire career and was the Director of Nursing at Clinton Valley Center for the last 20 years prior to her retirement. After retirement, she worked another ten years as a behavioral consultant for special ed students in the Pontiac School District as well as a psychiatric consultant at Havenwyck and Pontiac Osteopathic hospitals. Lonni was a dedicated nurse following in the tradition of her grandmother and aunt. Lonni was a very loving, positive person with a large circle of family and friends that she cared about dearly and to whom she gave much care and support. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward Huels and May Goudey and her sister Teddi Skoczylas. She is survived by her sister Michelle Stokes of Port Aransas, TX; niece, Jodie Enriquez of Lansing; two nephews, Michael Skoczylas of Tawas, and Austin Azua of San Marcos, TX; four great nephews Jose and Dominic Enriquez, Michael Skoczylas Jr., and Kristoffer Azua; one great niece, Maria Skoczylas; five godchildren, Drew, Corey, Corbin, and Sarah Davis and Marisa Bond, and many loving friends.
