SPEARS, LARRY D. of Waterford, passed away March 25, 2021 at 62 years of age. Loving husband of Susan for 36 ½ years; loving father of James (Maureen) Loftus, Larry Spears, Jr., Amanda (Kent) Lawrence, and David Spears; grandpa of Grace, Kaelin, Alana, and Kylee; brother of Wayne (Linda) Spears and Jill (Jerry) Jensen; uncle of Noelle (Jack) Sutherland, Andrew (fiancée Ellen Janowski) Jensen and Julie (John) Flauter; great uncle of Clayton and Riley. Larry retired from McLaren-Oakland as nursing supervisor in 2020 after 35 years of dedicated service. He was well known in high school sports as referee and umpire for 20 years. In his spare time Las Vegas was his favorite destination for poker and black jack. Larry was in control of the remote therefore he never missed a sporting event. While at home time with his grandchildren was top on the list; swimming in the pool; reading them a book; or watching "Masha and the Bear" on television. His warm smile will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 3-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Private burial will be held at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
