Larry Proctor went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2024 at 79 years of age. He was born on January 4, 1945, in Pontiac, Michigan to loving parents James and Daisy Proctor (Thomas Adcock). He is survived by his wife Martha for 60 wonderful years; Children: Scott (Rick) Grohocki-Proctor, Thomas (Jennifer) Proctor, and Herb Proctor; Grandchildren: Samantha Proctor, Alexandra Proctor, Amber Grohocki-Proctor, and Conner Grohocki-Proctor; Siblings: Robert (Debbie) Gibson, Robert (Connie) Adcock, Linda Wegmann, Scott Adcock, Rick Adcock, Steve (Sue) Adcock, Jenny Klovski, and Charlene (Chris) Reppuhn; Several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Beverly Reedy and Sue Proctor. Upon graduating high school, Larry proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a truck driver for MotorCar Transport and Leaseway Transportation in Pontiac for many years until he retired. He was a man of great faith and has been a member at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ortonville for 24 years. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 from 4-9pm as well as Friday, February 9th, 2024 from 10-11am at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON (8909 Dixie Hwy.  Clarkston, Michigan 48348). A Funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, February 9th, 2024 at the funeral home. A burial will take place immediately following at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.  Our heartfelt thanks to Doctor Renny Abraham and the staff at Trinity Health Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan for the great care he received.
