MEYERS, LARRY DONALD, age 85 of Byron, formerly of Drayton Plains, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was born on January 4, 1936 in Pontiac to the late Howard and Mina Meyers. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He loved bowling and fishing, and enjoyed nature. More than anything, Larry cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sandra; children: Amy (John) Hutcherson and Pamela Marshall; step-children: Tim (Kelly) Granger and Nate Granger; grandchildren: Dustin (Erin) Ratliff, Morgan Ratliff, Aleigha Maten, Amy (Nelson) Johnson, and Anthony Duncan; step-grandchildren: Payge Granger, Sterling Granger, and Will Granger; several great grandchildren; siblings: Richard (Carol) Meyers and Thelma (Arthur) Latimer. He was preceded in death by first wife, Doreen Meyers; children: Scott Marshall and Tracey Stephens; siblings: Arlene Danielson, Eleanor Wagner, and Harold Meyers. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at The River Church (3411 Airport Rd., Waterford). Pastor Jayson Combs officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 4-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Interment at Crescent Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Larry.
