FORD, LANIS E. of Clarkston, passed away May 3, 2021 at 75 years of age. Loving husband of the late Jane for 46 years; dear father of Brent (Cortney) Ford, Keith (Angela) Ford, and the late Lana Sawicki; grandfather of Noah, Chase, Carson, Caleb, Faith, Brooklyn, Luke, and Jonah; brother of Wendell (Dorothy) Ford, Darrell (Susan) Ford, Ken (Phyllis) Ford, Brella Ford, Shirley Rodriguez, Glenna (Sam) Holloway; preceded in death by siblings, Challis Ford, Willa (Ray) Adams, and Eula "Tootsie" Gudal; brother in law of Carter Gudal, Carlene Ford, and the late David Rodriquez. Lanis was a veteran of the US Army-Vietnam. Lanis had an extraordinary work ethic and passion to own his own company. Oakland Fuels was established in 1966 and became one of the largest fuel suppliers in Oakland County. His legacy continues with his two sons. Lanis always put his family first. He enjoyed time with his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and all their sporting events. He will be dearly missed but his legacy lives on.
