Barnett, Kenneth Elmer, age 91, of Clarkston, passed away December 12, 2021. He was born on December 19, 1929, in Romance, Arkansas, son to the late William and Ida Barnett (nee Rae). Loving husband of Shirley for 65 wonderful years; dear father of Kimberly (Everett) Confer, Lisa (Brian) Cain and the late Bennett Barnett; proud grandfather of David (Elizabeth) Haverstick, Steven (Stacy) Haverstick, Darren Cain, the late Kevin Cain and the late Devin Cain; great grandfather of Emma, Ava, Owen, Mackenzie, Evan, Zoey and Layla. He was preceded in death by his Son-in-Law Hal Haverstick and 14 siblings. Ken served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korea War era. He worked as a Pontiac Fireman for many years. He was a longtime member of the Waterford Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry and caring for his lawn. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 11:00 AM at the Waterford Church of Christ, 4991 Williams Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Road, Waterford. The family requests that all in attendance please wear a mask. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Memorial donations in Ken's name may be made to the Waterford Church of Christ or God's helping hands.
