HUGHES, KAYANN EDA of Lake Orion, passed away August 17, 2022 at 71 years of age. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan loving daughter of the late Ernest and Olive M. Beauchamp (nee Lange); beloved wife of the late Jeffrey Ralph Hughes for 38 wonderful years; cherished mother of Joseph Tomczak, Christina Garris, and Alisha (Blake) Nelson; proud grandmother of Kathryn Tomczak, Luke Garris, Carl Nelson, and Miranda Nelson; dearest sister of Robert Beauchamp, the late Arnold Beauchamp, Elaine Carter, Arthur Beauchamp, the late Gayann Reaume, Raymond Beauchamp, the late Kimberly Cook; survived by many nieces and nephews. Kayann graduated from Avondale High School. She worked at General Motors for over 20 years, and that is where she met the love of her life Jeffrey, and they married December 4th, 1977. In her free time, she loved going to the Casino with her sister, decorating cakes, gardening, and spending time with her family; especially taking her grandson Luke to lunch. Kayanns' driving will not be forgotten and just her lovely presence in this world will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
