CAPION, KATHRYN ANN, age 75 of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1948 in Detroit to the late Donald and Mavis (McCellan) Erkfitz. Kathryn was a lifelong and well accomplished educator, excelling in reading and special education. She enjoyed traveling and had visited many countries outside of the US, including living in Denmark for three years. More than anything, she was a wonderful and loving mom to her two children, Erik (Katie Alakson) Capion and Jaclyn (Brian) Worley. Kathyrn is also survived by her grandson, Mason Varney, her sister, Donna (the late Donald) Hoge, niece, Susan Hoge, nephew, Mark Hoge, the father of her children, Phil Capion, and her dog Lily. A funeral service will take place at 3pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at COATS FUNERAL HOME -WATERFORD. The family will receive visitors on Saturday beginning at 1pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Kathryn.
