of Waterford, passed away at home on December 18, 2017, at the age of 92. He was born November 3, 1925, to Adolph and Rosalie Kuck of Bad Axe, where he grew up in a large farming family and graduated from high school. After serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, he became a certified radio technician, and shortly after met Dorothy (Schlicht), marrying her in June of 1951. He loved her dearly for 65 years of marriage and missed her every day after her death in 2016. pKarlrsquo;s lifetime was spent in service to others. He worked for decades as a radio technician for WPON and the City of Pontiac, but he was even more devoted to his family and church. He treasured his siblings and their families and looked forward to the yearly reunions on the farm. His four daughters were a special joy, and he enthusiastically embraced the addition of sons-in-law and grandchildren, especially if they brought him cookies of any kind for his birthdays. Generously giving of his time, he spent many hours fixing electronic items and cars, assisting with home building, and keeping his churchrsquo;s sound system in running order. He also loved camping and fishing, having spent many hours in his fishing boat with family.p pIt was from Karl that his girls learned to drive, value education, appreciate nature in all forms, draw goofy pictures, and determine multiple routes to any destination. He was a stern but fair and loving father, living life simply and humbly while demonstrating the concept of a work ethic. pKarl is survived by his four daughters ndash; Karen (David) Motzny, Kathie Orsquo;Neill, Kristine (David) McKenney, and Karol (Frank) Hartley; seven grandchildren ndash; Michael and Millicent Motzny, Erin (Danielle) Keesling, Megan (Theron) Keesling Brown, Melissa Orsquo;Neill Hall, Corey (Emily) Orsquo;Neill and Philip Hartley; two step-grandchildren ndash; Karl and Sara Hartley; three great-grandchildren ndash; Searra Hall, Emmalyn and Arlen Keesling; two step great-grandchildren ndash; Grace and Faith Warner; sister Johanna Fuerst; sisters-in-law Donna Schlicht, Delores Schlicht, and Lorene Schlicht; brother-in-law, Donald Heiden; and numerous nieces and nephews. pHe was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; grandson, Matthew Motzny; son-in-law Thomas Orsquo;Neill; siblings Albert (Hazel) Kuck, Ed (Rita) Kuck, Daniel Kuck, Sam Kuck, Alfred Kuck, Martha (Fritz) Milz, Albertina (John) Miller, Alma (Karl) Burow, Elmer Fuerst, and Emma (Robert) Kohl, along with in-laws from the Schlicht family: Martin Schlicht, Johnny Schlicht, Michael (Alice) Schlicht, Herman Schlicht, Mary (Vern) Draeger, and Helen Heiden.
