Karin Cecila (Lewis) Isbell, age 73, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away May 6, 2021, at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak of complications from Covid-19.Karin was born on August 28, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the first-born of 10 children. She graduated high school from Emmanuel Christian Academy in Pontiac, and attended college at Bob Jones University in South Carolina. She was married to her husband, Niel Isbell, for 46 years. She was very active in her church communities and loved spending time with her family, traveling, crafting and creating.Karin (Lewis) Isbell is survived by both her parents, Rev. Alger Lewis and Beatrice (Martin) Doone-Merena; step-daughter, Kristen (Isbell) Chaney, and husband, Dan; son, Austen Isbell, and husband, Ara Hachigian; daughter, Amber (Isbell) Welvaert, and husband, Christopher Welvaert; grandchildren, Khalan Isbell, Denver Welvaert, and Carson Welvaert; and siblings Dawn Houghten (Kenneth), Marta Lewis, Alger Thomas Lewis, Vanessa Robar (Joseph), Matthew Lewis, Rebecca Ewell, Candace Clyne (Rodger).She was preceded in death by her spouse, Niel Edward Isbell, weeks prior on April 18, 2021, and her sister, Debra Angelo on April 29, 2014.The visitation for Niel and Karin Isbell will be held at First Baptist Church of Fenton in Michigan on May 17, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m., and is open to all who wish to pay their respects to the family. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Fenton on May 18, 2021, at 9 a.m. and is open to all family and extended family. A private burial service for immediate family will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at 10:30 a.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and precautions the family is requiring all attendees to wear masks and social distance.
