STEFFENS, JOYCE L., age 81 of Waterford, passed away on January 31, 2021. Joyce was born on November 4, 1939 in Searcy, Arkansas to William and Alice Howell (nee Taylor); proud mother of Glenn (Liz) Steffens, Sandy (Carmen Stanza) Velasco, and Susie (Lawrence) Golden; dear grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 10; sister of Glenda, Jerry, Cathy, and Chris. Joyce was preceded in death by her two sisters, Nellave and Brenda. Before retirement, Joyce had worked at the Birmingham Post Office as a clerk. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed reading, watching QVC, going to the park to enjoy the nice weather and sitting on her porch watching her grandchildren. Joyce could also be found chasing her beloved cats, Sammie and Max. A private service will be held followed by burial at Christian Memorial Cultural Center.
