DURR, JOYCE ANN, age 83 of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 after a long, brave battle with cancer. She was born on September 26, 1939 in Hazel Park, Michigan to the late Carl and Agnes (Gibbs) Porter. Joyce enjoyed shopping, playing Hand and Foot cards with treasured friends, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and taking morning walks. She was a past member of the Bell Choir at Grace Lutheran Church and the Sunshine Girls singing group. Joyce will be remembered for her smile and her warm, welcoming heart. She was always putting others needs and wants before her own. Joyce is survived by her children: Renee Caswell and Brian (Edith) Durr; brother, Steven Porter. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert J. Durr; siblings: Gordon Porter and Judith Kopf. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Coats Funeral Home – Waterford. The family will receive visitors one half hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:30am. Private interment at Mt. Avon Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
