Joy A. Easley passed away at home on August 26, 2023, after a courageous journey with cancer.  She leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, Mark Easley and their Yellow Labrador, Cole.  Joy was born on March 9, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois. She will be missed by her mother, Joyce Simpson, (her father, Glen Simpson, Sr. preceded her), Her brother Glen Simpson, Jr. (Tammy),  Tina Easley (sister-in-law), step children: Charles "Chuck" Holden , Keith Holden (Kathy), William "Moe" Holden (Carol),  Pennye Holden (and her daughter Faith Swanson) and Daniel "Michael" Holden.  Joy had many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.   She retired from The Oakland County Register of Deeds.  Joy and Mark enjoyed spending time Up North at their cabin in the woods with Cole.  She loved watching the many varieties of birds at her feeders while reading a good book.  The family would like to thank the wonderful Nurses and Aides of Trinity Hospice.
