McGEE, JOSEPH A. of Waterford, passed away July 2, 2023 at 95 years of age. Loving husband of Shirley (née Richardson) for 72 years; dear father of Michael (Debi) McGee, Joseph (Michele) McGee, Stephen (Julie) McGee, Susan (Scott) Carlson, and Bradley (fiancée Donna Burtt Bauman) McGee; grandfather of 11; great grandfather of  7; brother of Thomas (Rose) McGee, the late Mary Lou (the late Walter) Polatka, and the late Jean Carol McGee. Joe was a veteran of the US Army-WWII and was a building inspector for Waterford Township retiring after over 20 years of service. A true family man, Joe enjoyed tinkering with projects and was the "Mr. Fix-It" of the neighborhood. He and Shirley enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida for many years. A charter member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, he will dearly missed by his church, his friends, and his loving family. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 5481 Dixie Hwy, Waterford, in state at 9:30 AM. Burial follows at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 PM, Rosary at 7 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Trinity Health At Home or St. Jude Children's Children's Research Hospital.
