LAFONTAINE, JOSEPH MAURICE, age 34 of Clarkston, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Loving son of Trisha (Don) Fischer and the late Maurice LaFontaine; brother of Aimie (Josh) LaFontaine; Amber (Ryan) Butterfield and Donald (Megan) Fischer. Adored grandson of Pam "Maw Maw" Goff, Lois LaFontaine, and Lyle (Rose) North. Beloved "Uncle Goey" to nieces: Kadynce, Jayleigh, Aundrea, Luna, Ahriya, and to nephews: Zander, Lyle, and Zadyn. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and so many friends. Joey was preceded in death by grandparents: Edward (Barbara) Fischer and Nana, CoraLee Weidman. He was born June 8, 1987 in Pontiac. Joey graduated from Clarkston High School in 2005. He was an avid car enthusiast and had an impressive Hot Wheels collection. He loved art, tattoos, and music. Joey was a talented musician – writing his own music and performing with several bands. He enjoyed backyard bonfires with his friends. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 27, 2021 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service, beginning at 11am.
