Joseph R. Bruz, of Waterford, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in Pontiac at the age of 91.

Joseph was born to the late Joseph and Lottie Bruz (nee Furmanski). He was the beloved husband of Gloria Bruz for 50 wonderful years. Loving father of Michael (Kathi) Bruz, Deborah (Michael) Creech, and Joseph (Wendy) Bruz. Dear grandfather of Christopher (Shannon) Creech, Ryan Bruz, Evan Bruz, Luke Bruz, and Kamryn Bruz, and proud great-grandfather of Savannah Creech.

Joseph dedicated 39½ years of his career to General Motors, where he worked as a skilled Tool and Die Maker. Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time doing the things he loved most, especially bowling and golf. He was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus.

Above all, Joseph will be remembered for his devotion to his family and the many cherished memories he created throughout his long and meaningful life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD, 3141 Sashabaw Road. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford.
