STRONG, JOHN L. "BUD" passed away March 25, 2023 at 89 years of age. Dear husband of the late Naomi; beloved father of John (Julee) Strong; grandfather of Katarina; great grandfather of Zasha; brother of Joanie (the late Ron) Fleming, Jim (the late Sandy) Strong, David (Pat) Strong, Janice (Jerry) Cudnohufsky, Phillip (Lynne) Strong, and the late Jerry Strong; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. John was a veteran of the US Army and retired from GM as a project engineer after 32 years of service. He was Mr. Baseball playing fast and slow pitch softball for many years in Waterford. As an engineer he was fascinated with anything mechanical, second to his obsession with boats. John was a "man's man", charismatic, authentic, and one of a kind. He will be forever missed because there will never be another one like him. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial follows Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4-9 PM. Please make memorial donations to Michigan Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Michigan Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
