SUPERMAN', of Pontiac, passed away on January 7, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Lois (nee Hahn) since 1960. Loving father of David (Colleen) Sheaves and Ellen (Joe) Moceri. Proud grandfather of Elizabeth, Brock, Vincent, and Benjamin and great grandfather of Joseph. Dear brother of Dorothy (the late Charles), Charles (Jean), Gilbert (Jane), and Joe (Sandy). Preceded in death by his siblings Margaret (Allen), William Jr. (Evelyn), James (Ellen), George, Barbara (George), and Jackie Lee. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Anne and many nieces and nephews. John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired in 1989 after over 30 years of service from Michigan Bell. After retirement, John devoted his time to volunteer work and was active in many charities including Focus Hope, the Waterford Senior Center, Food Gatherers, and Meals on Wheels. John enjoyed life, golfing every Tuesday with his friends and spending his time with family and friends.
