Loving father of John (Darlene) McClain Jr., Christine Corbin, and Cheryl (Kevin) Gibbons. Proud grandfather of Christopher (Ashley) Leone, the late Matthew Diem, Chuck (Tatum) Gibbons, and Krystal (Matt) Ruppert. Dear great grandfather of Nicholas, Kallie, Kolton, Caleb, Coy, Lily, Levi, and Ava. Dear brother of George, Lyman, Leah, and Tom. John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors after over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, story telling, and feeding the birds in his yard. He also loved music and played the accordion, organ, and harmonica. He meticulously cared for his lawn and enjoyed watching Fox News and reading the newspaper.p
