of Holly. December 17, 2010 at 87 years of age. John was born February 24, 1923. Husband of the late Virginia Elizabeth "Betty" (2003). Loving father of Kenneth N. (Priscilla) Long, Cheryl R. (Dr. Mark) Anderson, Christel M. (Brian)Walters and Rhonda L. (J. Keith) Blakely. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a half brother Raymond Smith. John was a member of the Mayflower Society and the Sons of the AmericanRevolution. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Long retired from General Motors. Following his retirement he,Betty and his daughter Rhondastarted Country Folk Art Shows currentlyat the corner of Dixie Highway and Grange Hall Rd.
