JOHN "JACK" HILL, age 66 of Livonia, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1956 in Hazel Park, Michigan to parents Thomas and Rita (Naughton) Hill. Jack was a kind, caring soft-hearted person who put everyone else's needs before his own and would do anything for anybody. He loved movies and music and was Bruce Springsteen's biggest fan, having seen him in concert over 40 times. He was a huge long time Detroit sports fan, ever the optimistic claiming "this will be their year". He had a long career at Sears, and will be sorely missed by his loving wife Sandy, and his family and friends. Jack is survived by loving wife of 24 years, Sandra Hill (nee Cappell); siblings: Thomas (Christine) Hill, Barbara (Robert) Clift, Mark (Mary) Hill, Timothy (the late Lesa) Hill, and Daniel Hill, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and beloved aunt, Sister Mary Naughton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, August 20, 2023 at Our Lady of La Salette Church, 2600 Harvard Rd., Berkley, Michigan. Father Patrick Connell celebrating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2023 from 4-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD and again on Saturday, at church, one hour prior to mass, beginning at 10am. Interment at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, Michigan. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to The Congregation of St. Joseph or Gleaners Community Food Bank in honor of Jack.
