John Frederick Fett., age 79, of Waterford, passed away Sunday, December 31st, 2023. He was born July 19th, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, to late parents Henry and Gwendolyn Fett. John proudly served in the United States Army and The National Guard while also pursuing his lifelong passion of music. John played and recorded his own music and was also a guest musician for many young and upcoming performers who are now music icons. John will be remembered as a lifelong golfer, die hard Detroit Lions fan and wonderful chef. John is survived by his brother David Fett and sister Gwen Wood, his children, Jeannine (Paul) Dunn, Rebecca Fett-Malone, Tracey (Lee) Williams, Jon Fett and Jennifer (Brian) Carr as well as his grandchildren Steven, PJ, Rachel, Hannah, Nathan, Zoe, Aryn, Madelyn, Kyle and Kayden and his great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Owen Fett. His funeral will be held on January 8th at Coats Funeral Home at 3141 Sashabaw Rd in Waterford at 12:00 pm with visitation beforehand from 1030am until noon followed by a memorial service with full military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
