of Waterford, passed away March 13, 2017 at 92 years of age. Loving wife of the late Sydney; dear mother of Beverly (David) Martindale and Julie (Gary) Martin; grandmother of Christopher (Stefanie), Amy (Russ), Amanda, and Kellie; great grandmother of Natalie, Ryan, Jason, Collin, and Kyle. Preceded in death by 2 sisters. Joan was an avid reader who also loved cross word puzzles and we cannot forget her bingo. She could be seen walking, and walking, and walking, especially on the campus of Canterbury-on-the-Lake. She enjoyed her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren, and not to forget the grilled cheese sandwiches at the 'pub'.
