LUTZ, JILL age 81, of Pontiac, formerly of Waterford, MI, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was born on December 29, 1940, in Kalamazoo, MI. Jill lived in many places across the country. However, she cherished the many years she lived in Paonia, CO the most. Jill was a very successful business owner. She graduated from Waterford Kettering in 1988 with her son Pete. While raising 5 children, she built pet grooming businesses in 3 different states. Alphie's Klasy Klip, in Security, CO, The Klip Joint in Garden City KS, and Jill's Klasy Klip in Waterford, MI. Her second marriage brought 4 more children into her life, then she was the mother of 9. Even with a large family, Jill continued to open more grooming businesses, Klasy Klip II, in Sylvan Lake MI. Finally, during retirement, she started Frog and Dog Pet Grooming in Paonia, CO. Jill was an avid reader, and she enjoyed watching crime dramas. After retiring to Colorado, Jill enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, and cooking. Jill was lucky in local Texas Hold em' card games and on the Penny Slots at Casinos. Most important to her was time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jill is survived by her children: Ronnie (Reece Carey) Elmy, Robert (Pam Coyle) Elmy, Robyn (Bob) Kinney, Pete (Amy Rancho) Elmy, Christopher Lutz, Rosanna (Rich) Romero, Cory Lutz, and Audrey (Jason) Connor; grandchildren: Ashely Elmy, Miche (Jason) Chandler, Alex Kinney, Christopher Connor, Elizabeth Connor, Aiden Connor, Ben Richie Romero, Zoe Jill Romero, Rayna (Jacob) Sambrano, and Ciara Lutz; great-grandchildren: Lilli, and Sully; siblings: Jack (Gail Shastal) Ozbun, Bill (Bonnie) Ozbun, and Benjamin (Marion) Ozbun; several nieces and nephews; and grand fur baby Azul. Jill is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Maxine Ozbun, and her son Curt Lutz. Jill's bold but loving spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on June 19th, 2022 from 1pm – 4pm at Hess-Hathaway Park - Community House - 825 S. Williams Lake Rd., Waterford, MI 48327.
