Sidock
Jul 23, 1951 — Nov 11, 2021
Waterford
SIDOCK, JERRY FLOYD, age 70, of Waterford, passed away to his permanent residence with God on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Jerry was born on July 23, 1951, in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Jerry and Delores (nee Elsie) Sidock. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 50 wonderful years Barbara "Harriet" Sidock (nee Colyer). When Jerry first laid eyes on Harriet he told his family that she would become his wife. Jerry is also survived by his children; Stacy (Terry) Ancell, Katie Sidock, Marcy (Jason) Remner and Ryan (Julie) Sidock ; his beloved grandchildren Paige, Morgan, Logan and Shelby; survived by his father Jerry, sister Linda Crowley, and brother Storm (Bo) Sidock and predeceased by his mother Delores, and brother Jeffrey Sidock, and sisters Sherie Colyer and Lillian Leonard. Jerry was a hardworking and organized family man who owned and operated Hi-Performance Automotive in Waterford, Michigan with his son. He enjoyed drag racing and was a huge supporter of Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, Michigan and had been a part of the drag racing family for many decades; his son Ryan and grandchildren Paige, Logan and Shelby also rip up the tracks just as he did, all while his granddaughter Morgan was his constant side kick keeping everyone in line especially Papa. In his free time, he and his wife Harriet loved "going to church or going to choir practice" aka the Casino to kick back and let off some steam. The two were inseparable, even until the very end. Both he and Harriet, for fun, were working for Door Dash delivering to families in Oakland County. He will be remembered for his bravery, as he was not afraid of anyone and was man enough to shed some tears for the ones he loved. Jerry was a "hot head with the biggest heart" and will be missed deeply, especially his hugs. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Please keep Jerry's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Family requests any donations made in Jerry's memory are to be sent to Mid Michigan Motorplex via PO Box 667, Stanton, MI 48888
