EDWARDS, JERI G. (nee Weishuhn) went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2022 at 57 years of age. Loving wife of John Edwards for 36 years; cherished mother of Jacquelyn (Tom) Heasley; sister of Jack (Denise) Weishuhn, Jr. and Cindy (the late Taylor) Scott; survived by her beloved dog, Max. Preceded in death by her parents Jack, Sr. and Rebecca Weishuhn. Jeri was a 1982 graduate of Clarkston High School and a veteran of the US Army where she served as a military police officer in the Criminal Investigative Dept. She earned an associate's degree in medical assisting with applied science and worked for Clarkston Medical Group. An active member of First Baptist Church of Clarkston, she was her own unique and special person. She enjoyed cooking; vegetable gardening; knitting; and ceramics. Jeri was also her own woman strong in her convictions and would learn and master anything. She will be dearly missed for her sense of humor; her warmth; her compassion; her jokes; and the ease with which she could talk to anyone. Funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:30 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON. Burial follows at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly with military honors. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4 – 8 PM.
