Obituary

Jeffrey Allen Climie passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on June 10, 1959, Jeff lived a life defined by unwavering love for his family, hard work, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Jeff was the beloved husband of Patty Climie. Together, they built a life founded on love, genuine friendship, family values, and a deep respect for one another. Their marriage was a true partnership, filled with laughter, devotion, and countless cherished memories.

He was the proud and devoted father of Jeffrey (Deanna) Climie, Donaven (Ally) Climie, and Matthew (the late Jenee) Suddeth. Nothing brought Jeff greater joy than being surrounded by his family. He was also a loving grandfather to Sabelle Climie, Hazelle Climie, and Leum Climie, and he lovingly carried in his heart the memory of his beloved grandsons, the late Mateo Suddeth and the late Nikko Suddeth.

Jeff was raised alongside his sisters, Pennie Fischer and Susan Climie, and his brother, the late Terry (Vivian) Climie. Family was always at the center of his life, and he treasured the lifelong bonds they shared.

After many years of dedicated service, Jeff retired from General Motors, where he worked as a lineman and faithfully served six years as a Union Treasurer. He earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to stand up for those around him.

Outside of work, Jeff found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Whether hunting in the woods, casting a line while fishing, or spending a day on the golf course, he appreciated every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Yet, above all else, Jeff was a true family man. He treasured every holiday, gathering, and quiet moment spent with those he loved. Following the heartbreaking losses of Mateo, Nikko, and Jenee, Jeff held his family even closer, never taking a single moment together for granted. His steadfast love, compassion, and strength became a source of comfort to those around him.

Jeff will be remembered for his generous heart, gentle spirit, dependable nature, and the unwavering love he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched and in the countless moments shared with those he loved.

He will be deeply missed by his loving family, his cherished friends, and especially his dear lifelong friends, Sam Toma and Wes Sharr, whose friendship meant so much to him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jeff's life during visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Coats Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with interment immediately following at Drayton Plains Cemetery.
