Jayson Hugh Thomas, Jr., age 26 of Port Huron, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was born on April 16, 1997 in Rochester, Michigan to parents Toni Thomas and Jason Thomas, Sr. Jayson spent his time on earth bettering the lives of everyone he knew. He would do anything he could to make you smile and laugh. He provided comfort to his family, supported his siblings, and was loyal to his friends. He was protective, generous, honest, and sometimes rowdy. Jayson was always up for going on adventures and he was able to find beauty in just about anything. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and swimming. But more than anything, Jayson loved his son Kole. Jayson is survived by his parents: Toni Lynn Thomas and Jason Hugh Thomas, Sr.; his son, Kole Donavan Thomas; siblings: Cierra Thomas, Trenton Thomas, Anthony Welch, Christopher Miller II, Christian Miller, Carter Miller, Justus "Papi" Miller, David McMurray II, Alexis McMurray, and Kaleb May; grandmothers: Sarah Morgan and Carol Thomas; uncles: Angelo Santiago, Juan Santiago, Ruben Velez, Joshua Lopez, and Rio Velez; aunts: Maria (Shawn "Loc" Morris) Santiago, Rachel Ybanez, Lupe Garcia, and Jennifer (Carlos) Soto; special cousin, Trenedy Morris, and a slew of other cousins, friends, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugh Davenport, Jr.; great grandmother, Lona Morgan; and aunt, Forta Morgan. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, August 4, 2023 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 4-8pm and again on Friday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution towards Kole's future college fund, as the family hopes to carry out Jayson's wish of taking care of his son.
