POWERS, JANICE KAY, age 82 of Lapeer, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1941 in Flint to parents Michael and Jeanette (Davidson) Luskey. Janice enjoyed spending her time at her cottage Up North in Atlanta, Michigan. She also liked to hunt and fish. More than anything, she adored her family. Janice will be remembered for her grace and her enriching laugh. She had a sweet soul and would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. Janice is survived by her children: Tresa Powers and Michael Powers, Sr.; grandchildren: Jessica Herbst, Michael (Bridget) Powers, Jr., and Courtney (Andrew) Kreiner; great grandchildren: Skylar Herbst, Brooke Herbst, Jameson Herbst, Soneya Powers, Easton Kreiner, and Sawyer Kreiner. She was preceded in death by both parents and husband, Paul Lee Powers. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, August 25, 2023 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 4-8pm. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
