became an angel on Wednesday March 30, 2016, with her loving husband at her side. Jan was born August 29, 1933 in Benham, Kentucky. She was the only girl of 4 children born to James and Maude McCurry. She graduated Pontiac Central High School in 1951 and then graduated the Detroit Nursing School in 1955. She went o n to become an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Pontiac General Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 1991. Jan met her sweetheart Gerry in 1956 and they married July 27, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Pontiac, MI and it would last for the next 58 years. She then became the mother of five; David (ReBecca) Egres, Tom Egres and family, Jim (Cynthia Biron) Egres, Susan (Steve) Villarreal and Steve Egres, all of Waterford. She is the proud Grandma of 13 grandchildren including: Jurze Egres, Melissa Davis, Karissa Villarreal, Kayley Villarreal, Austin Egres and Dakota Egres. Jan is also survived by her three brothers: Jack (Lynn) McCurry, Bill (Janet) McCurry and Bob (the late Susan) McCurry. As well as several nieces and nephes and many other family members. Jan not only raised her own brood of children, she made sure that all of the neighborhood kids had a safe place to have fun and will always be remembered as 'Mom' to each and every one. Janrsquo;s greatest treasure was family and her family will always remember fondly the thirty day vacation camping trips that they took every year all over the United States.
