Jane Louise Thompson, 76, passed away on August 14, 2025, with her beloved daughter Val by her side. Born on May 18, 1949, in Highland Park, just outside of Detroit, Michigan, Jane was the cherished daughter of John Roderick and Donna Louise Cavanaugh. She grew up in the vibrant community of Berkley and graduated from Berkley High School in 1968.

First and foremost, Jane was a woman of deep and unwavering faith. Her life was a testimony to her love for Jesus, and she never missed an opportunity to share her beliefs or inspire others with the hope and joy she found in her relationship with God. She was a devoted member of Harvestland Church, where her church family meant the world to her.Jane had a bright and lively spirit. A true social butterfly, she brought warmth and energy into every room she entered. She loved baking sweet treats, crocheting gifts for loved ones, pampering herself with shopping trips and nail appointments, and filling her home with the sounds of her favorite Christian music. Her heart for giving was as big as her smile. Jane supported several charitable causes dear to her heart, including Water for Life and the care of baby Constantino. She lived generously and appreciated everyone she knew—always taking time to make people feel seen, heard, and valued.

She leaves behind her two daughters Val (Roger) Arnold and Holly Howard; and her granddaughter Allyssa Howard.

A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Harvestland Church, 5848 Clintonville Rd., Clarkston, MI. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the service.

Jane's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the many lives she touched.
