Jane Ann Bauer
March 21, 1933 – April 12, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Ann Bauer, who passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, at the age of 92, at Lourdes Nursing Home. Jane was born on March 21, 1933, in Logansport, Indiana, to Verna and Delbert Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Robert, her high school sweetheart, with whom she cherished 52 years of marriage. About 10 years after getting married, she and Robert moved to Waterford, MI where they built their home. She is lovingly remembered by her children: John (Jeanne) Bauer, Michael Bauer, and Keri (John) Riegger; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Jane took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, never missing a chance to share their accomplishments. She had a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs, who brought her great joy and companionship. A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and caretaker, Jane dedicated her life to nurturing others. She had a special gift for caring for children and spent many years providing love, guidance, and warmth to the countless young lives she touched. Her gentle spirit and unwavering patience left a deep and lasting impression on all who knew her—both the children she lovingly cared for and the families who came to cherish her presence. She will be laid to rest in Logansport, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Michigan Humane Society, an organization dear to Jane's heart. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal."
