KRAFT, JAMES "JIM" W., age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1940 in Pontiac to parents William and Helen (nee Heck) Kraft. Jim worked at GM for 30 years.  After leaving GM, he continued his work in graphics and marketing with his own business. He was very active in all types of sports, whether it be playing on the GM softball team, showing off his amazing golf game, boating, or water skiing. Jim had a unique talent when it came to landscaping and created a beautiful yard that family and friends loved to enjoy with him.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially cruising around Loon Lake on his pontoon boat.  As he often said "it's  five o'clock somewhere!"  Jim is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Diane (nee Dopierala) Kraft; sons, Steve (Gina) Kraft and Tom Kraft; grandson, Kai Kraft; siblings: Tammy Termini, Boyd (Barb) Kraft, and Ross (Sharon) Kraft; sisters-in-law: Judy Kraft, Maureen (Dennis) Brown, Cheryl Wozniacki, and Helene (Robert) Rogers, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Brian Kraft. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Father Scott Thibodeau celebrating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 4-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON with a rosary service at 7pm. Family will receive visitors again, on Thursday, one half hour prior to mass, beginning at 9:30am at church. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in honor of Jim.  If you would like to send flowers, the family is using Bella Florist & Gifts .
