of Clarkston, passed away on August 21, 2016 at the age of 88. Born in Bay City, MI in February of 1928. He graduated with honors in 1946 from Bay City Central, served one year in the US Army, then continued on with his education at MSU for 3 years. Jim was married to Mary Lorraine David in June of 1950; they were married just 2 months when he was called back into the US Army at Fort Sheridan for another year of service. He worked as a sales manager for Sealtest for 15 years, then owned and operated Sauveacute; and Sons Ice Cream Distributing Co. for 14 years before selling his routes to Melody Farms where he served as VP of Sales until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed bowling on both menrsquo;s and mixed leagues, dancing with Lorraine as long time members of the Suburban Steppers and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Elks and sang in their choir. He also enjoyed attending his childrensrsquo; and grandchildrensrsquo; sporting events. After retirement they did a good bit of traveling with close friends to Florida, across Canada and other locales. James is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lorraine, his 6 children; Bryan (Darlene), Jeannene (Greg) Kirchner, Lori (Dr. Y.C.) Huang, Denise (Brian) Hodges, Joel (Susan) and Alan (Nancy). A brother-in-law, Jim Diamond of Kalamazoo, a sister-in-law, Judy Sauveacute; of Florida and a brother-in-law and his wife, Don and Suzanne David of Bay City. He also leaves 12 grandchildren; Jason Sauveacute;, Cherise (Sauveacute;) Everhard and Renee (Sauveacute;) Rose, Derek Kirchner and Emily (Kirchner) Ford, Kyle and Leslie Hodges, Michael and Ann Sauveacute;, Andrew, Rachel, and Jenna Sauveacute;. 6 step-grandchildren; Dr. Eugene Huang, Dr. Janice (Huang) Dickter and Stephen Huang, Emily and Tricia Smith, Candis Amon as well as 25 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by infant daughters, twins, Jeanne amp; Joan (1951), Anne (1958), his parents, Emile and Helen Sauveacute; and siblings Donald, Maxine (Diamond) and Jack.The family of James Sauveacute; wishes to thank the Medical Team Hospice Care for their help and guidance. p p/
