LONGBUCCO, JAMES JOSEPH, age 68 of Holly, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1955 in Jackson, Michigan the son of James and Irene (Farkas) Longbucco. James was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Waterford, Michigan and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a passionate cook and he absolutely loved to share his homemade dishes with family and friends. Jim also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and was known to give whatever he'd grown to his neighbors. He was an avid outdoorsman, sportsman, and especially enjoyed pheasant hunting in Illinois with family. An eclectic music lover, Jim played the drums and loved jamming with his friends and sharing the stage with his daughter, Angela. As an avid traveler, he cherished spending time with family on long road trips and outdoor adventures.
Above all else, Jim loved and cherished his children. He will always be remembered for being supportive, dedicated, and loving. Jim leaves to cherish in his memory his children: Nicholas Longbucco, Angela Longbucco, Lauren Brzezinski, and Jenny Lambart; siblings: Barbara (Phil) Campbell, Janet Longbucco, Ralph (Vicki) Longbucco, and Father John Longbucco; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents, and brother, Rick Longbucco. A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME - CLARKSTON, with a rosary service at 7pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Waterford followed by a luncheon and burial services.
