Obituary

pJim was born as James Clinton Allen to Ralph and Hazel Mae Allen on 2-16-1932 in Watertown Ctr.Millington, Mich. He married Roberta Lou Shaver on September 16, 1950. Together they had 9 children starting with James, Victor, Pamela, Marcia, Douglas, Patrick, Scott, Cynthia and Gregory. p Jim also had 5 siblings, 3 brothers all deceased and 2 sisters still living. They are Charles, Juanita, Virgil, Ruth Ann and Donald. p He currently has 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. After marriage to Roberta he has a host of different jobs/employers. But his real love was automotive bump and paint; both at home and for various companies for several years before going to work at General Motors Fisher Body in Pontiac, Michigan where he worked in the paint department. Most of all, his career at GM before retiring in 1987 with 25 years seniority. He loved to hunt and fish when ever he could get away or fit it into his schedule, as itrsquo;s a tough thing to do once your retired! In 2006, he had a bout with some oral cancer on the roof of his mouth. He had surgery and took several months to heal up but basically it all went well with no more issues. For about the last 5 years he had pretty much resorted to reading a lot of Louis Larsquo;More cowboy books, watching TV with the volume on 100. Wow! He also loved feeding and watching his birds out the back window. Dad truly loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved seeing them come and sometimes loved seeing them go. Grandparents! They loved to spoil those grandkids, then send them homehellip; Dad especially had a special place in his heart for great grandchild Dominic. Dad loved having him around, and I believe Dominic loved being with grandpa, grandma and old brown dog ndash; Hunter. Hunter also truly loved dadhellip; In Nov. 2014 dad ended up in the hospital where he received a pace maker then 60 days in rehab. Shortly after that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and has since had 3 bladder cancer surgeries. It is believed that this bladder cancer had spread to his colon eventually contributing to his death. On June 3, 2017 at home in his own bed, with lots of family member present. It was a sad moment. But through it all, dad received Jesus as his Lord and Savior on September 23, 2015. So please, join with us in celebration that hersquo;s not here, but has gone to be with Jesus Christ in Heaven. Praise the Lord and Amenhellip;
