of Clarkston, passed away August 9, 2016 at 93 years of age. Loving husband of the late Abigail M. Findlay; adored father of Jill (Bill) Berden, and the late Tracy Findlay; loving father-in-law of Mary Findlay;treasured grandfather of Kelly (Greg) Emmans, Breana (Steve) Purdy, Whitney Findlay, and Kyla Berden; great-grandfather to Kameren, Abigail, Alayna, and Dean; brother to the late David Wood Findlay, and the late Margaret (Richard) Harlow. Hugh is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sue (Findlay) Richardson (the late Art); Nieces: Susan (Jerry) Reid, Martha Savage, Cathy (Mark) McCurry and Ellen (Jay) Cowan; Nephews: Bill (Marlise) Harlow, David (Karen) Harlow, and Dana Harlow; daughter in law, Mary Findlay, along with many great-nieces and nephews and extended family members. Hugh was born in Brechin, Scotland to the late Hugh and Mary Findlay. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. In his later years, Hugh enjoyed golfing, opera, and the beach. His family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were his pride and joy.
