pMarch 15, 2017 at 96 years of age. Harold was born in 1921 to Mamoyo "Miya" and grew up in Montana with five brothers; Joe, Ray, Carl, Jack and Herb. He served in World War II as a paratrooper in the 17th Airborne Division that participated in the invasion of Germany across the Rhine River, known as Operation Varsity. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Architecture in 1949. He received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal, which was given to a graduating senior at each Architectural school in recognition for leadership, service to the school and department, and promise of professional merit. As predicted, Harold went on to have an accomplished architectural career. His initial experience was at the architectural firm of Eero Saarinen. He subsequently joined the architectural firm of Yamasaki amp; Associates where he was involved in many notable projects, such as the Michigan Consolidated Gas Company building, the Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills Michigan, the Dharhan International Airport in Saudi Arabia, the Pacific Science Center in Seattle that was built for the 1962 World's Fair, and the World Trade Center. Harold is survived by his children; Peter Tsuchiya, Karen Tsuchiya, M.D. and Kristen (William) Lattner; his grandchildren Sean and Brooke; his brothers Jack and Herbert Tsuchiya and his dear friend Renata Charfoos.p
