FREDERICKSEN, HANNELORE "LAURA" JULIA, age 88 of Pontiac, entered eternal life on Friday, March 5, 2021. She was born on June 9, 1932 in Pontiac to parents George and Olga (Clemens) Durr. Laura loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and Christ Lutheran Church. She was an accomplished craftsman, enjoyed knitting, sewing, ceramics, and going camping. More than anything, she loved her grandchildren. Laura is survived by her children: Derrick Fredericksen, Susan (James) Brown, Margaret (William) McLauchlin, David (Lisa) Fredericksen, and Jeffrey Fredericksen; grandchildren: Shannon, Kevin, Shelby, Brandon, Ryan, Alissa, and Ricky; great grandchildren: Brayden, Abigail, Alexander, and Kathleen. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Karl Edward Fredericksen III; brother, Robert Durr; granddaughter, Elizabeth. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date with a private inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Christ Lutheran Church in Waterford.
