STACH, GREGORY J. of Waterford, passed away September 15, 2020 at 71 years of age. Loving husband of Emilie for 49 years; dear father of Andrew W. (Marcie) Stach, Alexander X. Stach, Adam Y. (Jetai) Stach, and Amanda A. (Ben) Stach; grandfather of Ava and Mia; brother of Donna (Richard) Hoefer.Greg was a graduate of Our Lady of the Lakes High School and New Mexico State University. He went on to work for the Waterford Police Department, where he was a patrolman for nearly three decades.Greg met his wife Emilie at a Polish wedding, and soon after they married. Together, they raised four children with love and care in their Waterford home. There, they shared many memories together, and it was also where he was occasionally able to find some peace and quiet, riding his tractor around the property, working on things around the house, or creating interesting projects to keep his children entertained. The home was also where they hosted the yearly Christmas reunion, a longtime tradition that brought joy to family and friends.Greg had a good sense of humor, and enjoyed the simple things in life. He looked forward to breakfasts with friends, whether Ted and Larry, or Jim and Steve. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends and going to the casino. Above all, Greg cared deeply for his family and friends and will be greatly missed.Life will never be the same for all who loved him.Graveside service will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1 PM at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
