MADDOX, GLORIA JOY, of Clarkston, passed away October 7, 2020 at 89 years of age. Born in Rochester, Michigan daughter of the late Arthur and Vera VanZandt (nee Wiesel); beloved wife of the late James R. Maddox Jr. for 53 wonderful years; cherished mother of Craig Anthony Maddox, Kim Marie (Scott) Willett and James Arthur (Michele) Maddox; proud grandmother of Kameron, Matthew, Nikole, Madison, Pruitt, Trevor Cooper and great grandmother of Aliya. Gloria was a woman of faith who attended Victory Baptist Church for many years, along with assisting her late husband in ministry work. Her passion was in the arts, where she painted, played the piano and sang in the church choir. In her free time, she loved to roller skate and bowl. Gloria will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
