Gerald Lee Titsworth of Waterford, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2026, after suffering from bouts of infection and cardiac complications. He passed peacefully while surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Donna (Linn), daughter Joy Catanzaro (James Catanzaro), son Dr. Brian Titesworth (Jennifer Titesworth) and granddaughter Rebekah Catanzaro. He was preceded in death by his parents Clare A Titsworth and Marjorie M Titsworth (Redick) and brother Darwin E Titsworth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and granddogs. He was a cherished member of Marimont Community Church, Pontiac MI and McGregor Baptist Church, Ft. Myers, Florida.

Gerald started his life in Pontiac, MI. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1961 and married Donna Linn of Ferndale in 1962. They started their life together in Waterford and resided in the same home for 64 years. Gerald began his career at General Motors in 1961 and became a journeyman machinist with General Motors in 1965. He retired from work on April 1, 2000 (yes! April Fool’s Day) and was still in contact with several of his fellow workers until he passed.

Gerald was an active member of Marimont Community Church. He and Donna started working at Marimont as Sunday school teachers, he also led the Missions program for many years and served with short term missions teams to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Nebraska, Colorado, Germany and Serbia. Gerald had a great love for missions. He found great joy in spreading the word of the Lord to those who had not heard. For a great part of Gerald’s life he participated in local missions with the Gideon’s Ministry. He also found great joy in driving the golf carts around for the campers that attended Hurdling Handicaps Great Getaway camp. Those who remember the off roading golf cart trips that Gerald would take for the campers will always remember Gerald with the humor and love for Christ that he wanted to share as long as he possibly could.Gerald also participated in several prayer groups and men's Bible studies that met various times within each week.

Gerald was a leader of the building program when Marimont built on the current site at 424 W Walton Blvd. His family and friends will long remember stories of God’s provision, protection and proof of a sense of humor while the church was being built under Gerald’s leadership. During the winter months, he was an active member of McGregor Baptist Church, serving in their adult and senior choirs and building many sets and stages for Christmas pageants.

Within both churches, Gerald will be remembered for his life dedicated to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ lived out in service to others. He was a prayer warrior, a man who lived his faith in actions to those who will remember him at church and as a neighbor and supervisor at work. He will be remembered as a man who lived with his faith in action. He loved to connect with people over golfing, fishing, boating, building, working on cars, and helping to replace roofs of many people over the years. In these opportunities, he found ways to share his belief in Jesus Christ and his conviction for the salvation of others; even leading up to his final days he was still to be found helping friends and family members with various projects. He always loved working with wood, creating many things in his garage for friends and family members. Gerald lived out Christ and lived out “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might”.
